If you want to change the colour of text, put the desired colour followed by a colon, followed by the desired text. The format is “colour:Text”, and notice that there is no space in between the colour and the colon. Basic colours include red, purple, green, cyan, yellow and white.

In addition to basic colours, RS chat effects can also cause text to change colours while it is displayed. The format is “effect:Text”. Multiple colours include:

Flash1: causing the text to flash between red and yellow rapidly.

Flash2: causing the text to flash between cyan and blue rapidly.

Flash3: causing the text to flash between darker green and pale green rapidly.

Glow1: causing the text colour to fade from red to orange to yellow to green to cyan.

Glow2: causing the text colour to fade from red to pink to purple to blue to purple to pink to red.

RS text effects - text animation changing

If you want to animate text, put the desired animation followed by a colon, followed by the desired text. The format is “animation:Text”. Animations include wave, wave2, scroll, slide and shake.

If you want to combine animations and colours, the format is “colour:animation:Text”. For example, "green:wave:Happy Holiday!" will cause "Happy Holiday!" to float in a wavelike motion in green text above your head.
