Christianity is considered to be the world’s most followed religion with
about 2.4 billion followers and is also considered to be the most
influential religion in the history of mankind. Christianity
is actually based on the spiritual and other teachings of Jesus Christ.
It was known as The Way when it commenced in the first century in
ancient Israel and with time the teachings gained popularity. Christian
teaching explains that Jesus Christ dedicated his whole life and
suffered a lot of pain, died and rose from the dead to grant eternal
life to those who believed in him.
The Christian beliefs
say that Jesus is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born
of the Virgin Mary. Jesus ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right
of God, the Father and all of this happened after Jesus resurrection. It
is also believed that his kingdom has no end and Jesus may surely
return to judge living and dead on the basis of their sins and only
those would be forgiven who trust in the resurrected Jesus. Death came
into existence after Adam's sins. Jesus Christ died for all the sins of
each and every person in the world which is called substitutionary
sacrifice which means that he gave up his life, took all the pains to
him to pay the price of our sins so that people can live.
It is believed by Christians that, those who have faith in existence of
Jesus Christ and the sacrifices that he made for the mankind and accept
his teachings shall live for eternity even after they die, and those who
do not believe in it would go to hell a place of eternal separation
from God, a place of pain and anguish. Salvation is believed to be a
free gift of God and can be received by anyone. The Christian faith
also has the call of Baptism within the faith. Baptism is basically a
symbolic act by which a person publicly makes known the turning of their
sins to the savior Jesus, and inclusion into Gods family.
